Bio/Geotechnical Engineering Diagnostic Tool (BDT)

The Bio/Geotechnical Engineering Diagnostic Tool (BDT) is an advanced web and mobile-based system developed by Innovative Solution Pvt. Ltd. for the Department of Roads (DoR), Nepal, under the Geo-Environment and Social Unit (GESU).

BDT helps engineers and field assessors to diagnose slope stability issues and identify suitable bioengineering and geotechnical mitigation measures through data-driven analysis.

Developed in 2022, it features real-time dashboards, GIS mapping, offline mobile data collection, and automated solution recommendations.

Designed using references from “Roadside Geotechnical Problems: A Practical Guide to Their Solution” and “Community-Based Bioengineering for Eco-Safe Roadsides in Nepal,” BDT enables efficient, evidence-based slope management across Nepal’s vulnerable road corridors.
