The project to upgrade the Excel VBA-based Bioengineering Diagnostic Tool (BDT) into a comprehensive, web-based information management system has been successfully completed. This modernized system now enables efficient and accessible field assessments of vulnerable landslides and roadside slopes, supporting real-time decision-making and enhanced coordination in bioengineering and geotechnical applications.

The upgraded system was developed to collect and analyze essential site characteristics—including geometric, soil, and topographic data—helping engineers and planners select appropriate bioengineering technologies or determine the need for further geotechnical investigations. It now serves as a critical digital platform that strengthens site diagnostics and intervention planning.

Built using a PHP framework, the new web application features a dynamic dashboard for real-time data visualization and monitoring. It includes a role-based login system with customizable permissions for submission, verification, and approval. Field data can be submitted via mobile devices, while the system supports map-based visualization of assessment sites and automated report generation based on selected criteria such as technique, project, or administrative region.

Additional functionalities include Excel/CSV import-export, an online user registration and verification system, and a help menu to support new users. The completed system represents a significant step toward smarter, more resilient infrastructure planning and has improved the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of slope stability assessments.
