Integrated Municipal Information System
Integrated municipal information system– IMIS is a powerful tool that facilitates efficient and effective planning, management, and monitoring & evaluation of sanitation systems and service delivery inline with the sanitation value chain towards the goal of CWIS. IMIS is a convergence of web, mobile, and GIS technologies based on state-of-the-art open-source software.
IMIS is one of the value-added propositions of the TA, which helps city in mainstreaming CWIS Principles in city’s sanitation system. This component helps municipality in (i) establishing Municipal Database that helps in providing current CWIS sanitation situation of the town and preparing strategic sanitation plan and (ii) establishing Integrated Municipal Information System in line with municipality’s regular business process enabling city authority in efficient planning, decision making, service delivery and real time monitoring of Sanitation services. IMIS has deployed latest development in IT by integrating Web Technology, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Mobile Technology.
IMIS enables city authority to generate different types of spatial and non-spatial information required for designing, implementing and MLE of sanitation system by integrating different types of data related to municipal governance such as building infrastructure, utilities (roads, sewerage network), fecal sludge management, solid waste management, land use, low income settlements, municipal tax, etc.
Electronic Building Permit System (eBPS)
e-BPS is an application software to assist municipalities to improve current building permit process by ensuring the effective compliance of the National Building Codes and Building Bylaws to promote safe building construction.
e-BPS has been implemented in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Kirtipur, Butwal, Dharan, Chautara, Madhyapur Thimi, Birgunj, Changunarayan, Bheemdutta, Tulsipur, Bhimeshwor, Mahalaxmi, Palungtar, Bheemdatt, Tilottama & Tarkeshwor.
